Watched episode 2 of Soul Eater Not!
So far, the anime is a lot more cohesive than the manga. Already, we get that Clay and Akane aren’t what they seem, we get some flashbacks for Anya, and the whole “this is daily life at the Academy” works better in animation.
Meme even comes off as likable in this.
I’m enjoying SEN, really. And my six year old also approves. He’s an Anya fan.
Confession: “I don’t like how much Tsugumi frets over whether Anya or Meme should be her meister because everything that has happened so far points toward Anya being the better meister. Anya’s used her multiple times in real battle, while Meme has only used her once and it was to cut a log. It isn’t exactly a suspenseful or base-breaking choice! Mainly because Meme has barely done anything that makes her worth rooting for…”
Meme is nice and all but Anya is definitely the one that helps Tsugumi grow as a weapon.
Confession: “The way Death City and its culture is set up makes it pretty clear that the only things Ohkubo really knows about America are: the music we make and that New York exists somewhere. Seriously, name one thing that was shown in Soul Eater or NOT that clarifies it’s in America.”
I’ll bet you anything when Soul found out Anya actually had a job he was in that cafe.
All. Fucking. Day.
Oh yes. Runaway Rich Kids are my favorite brotp.
